SAN FRANCISCO — California State Parks, Parks California and Faces SF will host the fourth annual Kite by the Bay festival at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. The free event is open to all ages and offers opportunities for outdoor recreation and community connection along the San Francisco Bay shoreline.
Planned activities include kite decorating and flying, fishing lessons, kayaking, music from a live DJ and interactive tables led by community partners such as the Randall Museum and the Exploratorium. Registered attendees will receive a complimentary food coupon for on-site food truck, while supplies last.
The event supports ongoing efforts to increase access to Candlestick for Bayview-Hunters Point residents and visitors. The festival provides free, inclusive outdoor experiences that promote recreation, learning and time in nature.
