WHY:
As the statutory partner for California State Parks, Parks California was created to support building more welcoming, inclusive and climate resilient parks.
As California’s State Park System faces increasing natural challenges including droughts, wildfires and the continued impacts of climate change – which have a greater impact on historically marginalized communities – it’s important to build a leadership team with experience in preserving parks for all people.
