Our President & CEO Kindley Walsh Lawlor sat down with Environmental Directions, the longest-running environmental radio program in the U.S. In the interview, Kindley spoke with host Nancy Pearlman about the majestic diversity of California’s 279 state parks, the work underway to reimagine Big Basin Redwoods State Park following a devastating fire in 2020, and the exciting proposal to welcome the state’s 280th park to the system. Kindley also shared how Parks California works with its partners at California State Parks and local communities to encourage more people to visit parks and become lifelong stewards.
